Baked Brie with Candied Bacon and Honey Drizzle
- 1 (8 ounce) round Brie
- For Candied Bacon:
- 3/4 pound thick-cut bacon
- 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
- 1/4 cup dark brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- Honey, as desired
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Place a wire rack on top of a rimmed baking sheet.
Mix the pure maple syrup, dark brown sugar, and Dijon mustard in a large bowl. Toss the bacon strips in this mixture until it’s well coated. Place the bacon strips on the wire rack and bake for 20 minutes. Do not remove the bacon from the oven.
Remove the rind from the Brie and place the cheese in a ceramic Brie baking dish. Bake the Brie with the bacon for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, remove both the Brie and the bacon from the oven.
Plate the Brie and carefully chop the bacon – it will be hot! Place the bacon on the Brie.
Drizzle as much honey as you would like onto the bacon and Brie and serve warm!
