2018 Reserve Viognier Santa Barbara County

Our Bridlewood Santa Barbara County Reserve Viognier has a lovely golden color with a pale green tinge that is both vibrant and alluring. Delightfully intense aromas of fresh pear, apricot and white blossom arise from the glass for a rich bouquet. This Viognier is creamy and smooth on the palate with an immediate mouth-filling texture and offers flavors of lemon gelato, orange blossom, and dried apricot. Our Reserve Viognier is brightly aromatic and refreshing, and pairs well with a variety of seafood, grilled chicken, veal, and pork, or an amazing cheese board. 



This year we sourced the Viognier from two exceptional sites in the Santa Ynez and Santa Maria Valleys. The 2018 growing season in Santa Barbara County started very slowly with a very cool spring, delaying the onset of harvest by up to two weeks. To take advantage of the full spectrum of flavors this unique variety has to offer, we carefully hand tended the vines and hand harvested the fruit in three separate batches between September 26 and October 30.
