2016 Reserve Chardonnay Santa Lucia Highlands

The grapes for our Chardonnay were selected from the Santa Lucia Highlands, a premier winegrowing district in the Monterey AVA. The Santa Lucia Highlands had a shorter growing season in 2015. Minimal rain and drying winds led to smaller yields while establishing a perfect foundation for the grapes. This ideal harvest produced beautifully balanced wines, deep flavors, and an elegant expression of the varietal. The grapes were pressed and cold settled upon arrival at the winery. The juice was then racked to barrel for fermentation. Following fermentation, the wines were stirred weekly on their lees to create a creamy, rich mouth texture.

Our Bridlewood Santa Lucia Highlands Chardonnay is a rich and full-bodied wine. Following its bright straw color and golden hue, this Chardonnay offers vibrant notes of pear and baked apple that intermingle with spicy toasted oak. Flavors of Crème brûlée and butterscotch lead the way to a crisp, refreshing finish.
